Beach November 2012 -
Thirteen years ago, I realized there was a tremendous need in the Miami
Beach’s area elderly community,
especiallyduring
the holiday season. So with the help of Mayor Mattie Bower, Victor Diaz
and others, we organized a plan to serve up some good will, comfort and
cheer. We wanted to show the elderly that they have not been abandoned,
especially during the holiday season; we wanted them to know that people
care enough for them to visit and share time with them and bring them a
little present. We started a small project at Council Towers, the
housing project for the elderly in South Beach.
